The Kavala Chamber of Commerce submitted a proposal titled "Digital Upgrade of the Chamber of Kavala" under the region's 2026-2030 public investment programme, aimed at modernising the Chamber's services for local businesses. At the same board meeting, members received an extensive update on ongoing discussions about relocating the Kavala Customs House away from the port area, an issue local business bodies have continued to press as part of broader efforts to free up port land for commercial use. The Chamber confirmed local business groups remain coordinated in pursuing the relocation.
