Police operations carried out between 8 and 15 August 2026 across the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace led to a total of 17 arrests and 15 separate case files for violations of drug legislation, according to the regional police directorate. More than one in three of those arrested were detained in the Kavala area, with six arrests recorded in Kavala and Thassos specifically, alongside six in the Evros area and five in Komotini. Police did not release further details on the nature of the individual cases.
