Residents of Eleftheres, a village in the Municipality of Pangaio, went more than 20 hours without electricity or running water after a storm damaged local grid infrastructure, according to local reporting. The outage left households and local businesses without basic services for the better part of a day before repair crews were able to restore power. Residents expressed frustration at the length of the outage, a recurring complaint in rural parts of the wider Kavala area during severe weather events.
