A company based in Athens has been named provisional contractor for the energy upgrade of Kavala's Exhibition Centre, after offering a discount of close to 30 percent on the project's original budget of 1.5 million euros including VAT. The tender process is continuing, with a formal objection period following the auction result before the contract can be finalised. The upgrade is intended to reduce the venue's energy costs and improve its suitability for hosting trade events such as the Kavala Expo.
