Kyriakos Stavridis, the deputy mayor responsible for municipal green spaces, outlined the city's ongoing maintenance work during a recent radio appearance on ERT. The official acknowledged a persistent problem affecting the city's vegetation—deliberate damage caused by unidentified individuals. Stavridis noted that recent landscaping projects have extended through the Faliro district, with work progressing toward the furniture store area in Rapsani. Despite these challenges, the municipal parks service remains committed to maintaining and improving Kavala's public green areas, even as they contend with vandalism that undermines their efforts.
