Kavala Solutions hosted the European fertilizer manufacturers' association's annual safety seminar from Tuesday, 16 June to Thursday, 18 June 2026, drawing technical directors from fertilizer plants across the continent to the city. Theodora Koulioura, chief operating officer of Kavala Solutions, said hosting the event put Kavala at the centre of Europe's fertilizer manufacturing sector for the three days of the seminar. The event underscored Kavala's role as a base for chemical and fertilizer production within Greece's industrial base, alongside the port investments and logistics growth reported elsewhere in the local economy this year.
