The crossing continues to function as Thásos's main maritime entry point, attracting the majority of seasonal visitors heading to the island during peak summer months. In contrast, competing routes operating from Kavála to Prínos and to the northeastern Aegean islands experienced declining passenger volumes during the same period. These statistics underscore the dominance of the Kerámoti crossing in regional coastal transport, particularly during the busy tourism season when daily sailings operate at elevated capacity.
