The Municipal and Regional Theatre of Kavala, known locally as DIPETHE, has begun rehearsals and preview performances for its new season, which will feed into its larger role staging original productions during the summer's Philippi Festival. Past seasons have paired classical works with contemporary Greek playwrights, and this year's artistic direction under Eva Oikonomou Vamvaka is expected to continue that mix.
