Kavala Businesses Face December Deadline to Register on OpenBusiness Platform

Companies in manufacturing, storage and distribution, quarrying, and data centres must complete registration on the national OpenBusiness platform by the end of the year or face a penalty fee.

The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace's Development Directorate has reminded businesses in the Kavala regional unit that they must complete registration of their activities on the national OpenBusiness platform by 31 December 2026, under rules tied to Law 4442/2016. The requirement applies to businesses in manufacturing and related activities, storage and distribution centres, electromechanical installations at quarries or mines, and data centres. Businesses that miss the deadline will face a 200-euro fee to complete the registration afterward, and those that previously filed paperwork on paper must also upload the required supporting documents to the new platform.
