Officials from Paggaio's sports department announced that the municipality will resume issuing operating permits for municipal sports facilities in the coming days. The decision follows a brief administrative pause that affected eleven venue licenses, which had been frozen for a comprehensive safety and compliance review. According to Christos Bosmvotis, the deputy mayor overseeing athletics, the reassessment was prompted by a fatal accident involving a 16-year-old, an event that prompted the administration to conduct a thorough examination of all facility standards. The review process has now been completed, clearing the way for permit reissue to begin.
