The Municipality of Kavala is carrying out a complete renovation of the outdoor basketball court at Korali park in the Palio neighbourhood, overseen by deputy mayor for technical services Sotiris Tsekmezoglou and works department head Timos Sykoudis, ahead of a 3x3 basketball tournament scheduled for 17-19 July 2026. A separate resurfacing project is also under way at the court in Faliro park, an area used daily by residents of all ages. Officials said replacing burnt-out lighting at the Municipal Garden and the Perigiali area would follow once the court projects are complete.
