Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis has formally included a sports facility enhancement initiative in the East Macedonia and Thrace development program for 2021-2027. The project, targeting the Perigyali zone within Kavala's municipal boundaries, carries a total budget of approximately 128,000 euros and aims to upgrade existing athletic venues while promoting sports programs in the area. The Kavala Municipality will serve as the implementing authority for the initiative. The investment aligns with broader regional priorities focused on integrated spatial development across the prefecture, with funding provided through European Territorial Cohesion instruments.
