The recent completion of floating docks at the northwestern and northeastern sections of Kavala's Apostolos Pavlos harbour has added around 160 berths for yachts up to 12 metres and 10 berths for larger megayachts, giving local sailing clubs more room to grow. Club members say the additional capacity has made it easier to host regattas and training sessions, while the port's dual role as a passenger and leisure harbour continues to support both ferry traffic to Thassos and a growing recreational sailing community.
