Six traditional dance associations from different parts of Greece are taking part in "A Stroll Through Greece" ("Sergiani stin Ellada"), a touring cultural exchange programme with stops in Kavala and the nearby coastal village of Nea Iraklitsa. The visiting troupes perform regional dances in costume, giving residents and summer visitors a chance to see folk traditions from beyond Eastern Macedonia in one evening. Local cultural associations are hosting the visiting groups alongside their own performances.
