A photographic exhibition titled "The Swedish House: One House, Many Lives" opened in Kavala to a warm reception and strong turnout, the product of a collaboration between the Swedish Institute of Athens and the "Deka" Photography Group of Kavala. The show marks two anniversaries falling in 2026: 90 years since the Swedish House was built in Kavala, and 50 years since it became part of the Swedish Institute of Athens. Deputy director of the Swedish Institute Georgia Galani spoke about the building's continued significance for Kavala and for Greek-Swedish relations, with residents, artists, photographers and visiting Swedish artists currently hosted at the Swedish House among those attending the opening.
