The production brings together acclaimed Bulgarian director Yavor Gardev's vision with the distinctive soundscape of The Tiger Lillies, the internationally recognised British ensemble. Rather than simply providing a recorded soundtrack, the band members will perform live throughout the performance while also participating in the dramatic action unfolding on stage. This co-production marks a significant collaboration between theatre and music, transforming the classical Greek tragedy into a contemporary multimedia experience. The Ancient Theatre of Philippi, one of the region's most important cultural venues, will host the staging.
